Ampicillin + Cloxacillin Capsules are a fixed-dose combination drug used to treat bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose and throat, urinary tract, skin and soft tissue, and gastrointestinal system. Serious adverse reactions and toxicity are rare, with exception of allergic reactions.

Ampicillin is a broad-spectrum, beta-lactam penicillin antibiotic. It is effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms.

Cloxacillin is also a penicillin antibiotic that improves the efficacy of Ampicillin. It also shows bactericidal action and is beta-lactamase resistant, thus making it effective against penicillin-resistant staphylococci and non-resistant staphylococci and S. pneumoniae.

The combination’s synergistic effect provides a wider range of antibacterial activity for complicated infections.
